Removing and installing front door cover

Special tools and workshop equipment required

• Hot-air blower - V.A.G 1416-

Removing

• Front door must be partially open.

• Warm front and rear bonding surfaces -arrow A-, using the hot air blower - V.A.G 1416- to do so.
• Push front door cover -1- towards rear -direction of arrow B- and fold down top of cover.
• Detach front door cover -1- from catches at bottom of cover -direction of arrow C- and remove.

Installing

• Front door must be partially open.

• Preparing attachment for bonding ⇒ 10.1 Repair instructions.
• Attach front door cover -1- at bottom so that it latches into place and then push in top of cover -direction of arrow A-.
• Push front door cover -1- towards front -direction of arrow B- and adjust gap.
• Pull off protective foil -2- and press front door cover -1- on in one direction.
