  • On closing the lid correctly at all three locks (simultaneous "Clack") the key will move automatically back to the vertical position. The key can only be removed in the vertical (locked) position.
  • Do not turn the key back by hand!

Aligning the ski and luggage box on the basic carrier

  • Place the ski and luggage box onto the basic carrier with the assistance of a second person.
  • Align the ski and luggage box longitudinally and laterally.
Carrier distance: a = min. 650 mm, max. 860 mm

  1. Open ski and luggage box.
  1. Press lever together -arrow 1- of respective tensioning element to be opened and fold lever over -arrow 2-.
  2. Remove respective protective rail -4- -arrow 3- and stow, for example, in the luggage compartment.
  3. Close ski and luggage box.

  1. Place ski and luggage box on basic carrier or carrier bars.
  2. Open ski and luggage box.
  3. Align all tensioning elements longitudinally -arrows 1- and insert into the grooves of the basic carrier or carrier bars -arrows 2-.

  1. Fold over respective lever -arrow- to lock tensioning element.

Securing load

  • Guide tensioning strap -1- through lashing eyes -2-, as shown in illustration.
  • Place load in ski and luggage box.
  • Secure load using tensioning straps -1-, as shown in illustration.

  1. Open ski and luggage box.
  1. Open all 4 tensioning elements -arrow 1-.
  2. Close the ski and luggage box and remove from basic carrier or carrier bars.
  3. Open ski and luggage box.
  1. Refit the respective protective rail -4- -arrow 2- and lock the tensioning element -arrow 3-.

Environmental note:

Often the roof bars/supporting rods with/without attachments are left on the vehicle for convenience, even when not in use. The increased wind resistance increases fuel consumption unnecessarily, so remove roof bars/supporting rods and any attachments when not in use.

General information:

Roof transportation must comply with prevailing StVZO (German road traffic regulations) or the regulations applicable in the country. The permissible gross vehicle weight must not be exceeded. Always abide by instructions from the vehicle manufacturer concerning maximum roof load.

Determining the actual roof load:

Weight of roof bars/ supporting rods

+ Weight of ski- and luggage box + Weight of disposable load = actual roof load

Care instructions:

Keep the ski- and luggage box clean and well maintained, particularly during the winter months. For cleaning use a solution of water and commercial detergent without alcohol, chlorine or ammonia based additives. These substances will damage the surface of the ski- and luggage box. Please do not use commercial cockpit sprays for cleaning the skiand luggage box. Locks should be lubricated with a spray lubricant, which should not be sprayed onto the plastic surface.
