Removing and installing sunroof roller blind

Special tools and workshop equipment required

• Torque wrench 210 Nm - V.A.G 1783-

Removing

• Remove glass panel ⇒ 1.7 Removing and installing glass panel.
• Remove cover ⇒ 1.15 Removing and installing cover.
• Undo screws -3- and remove handle -4-.
• Remove tension bow ⇒ 1.18 Removing and installing tension bow.
• Unscrew bolts -5-.

• Lift sun blind -1- at rear on right and left -arrow a-, push it uniformly towards rear -arrow b- and pull it out of guide rails -3-.
• Push roller slider -3- into rib -arrow c- and remove from guide -arrow d-.
• Remove sun blind -1- from assembly frame.

Installing

• Insert right and left carriers -2- into guide rails -3- -arrow a-.
• Make sure that carriers are in correct position at top -arrow b- and bottom -arrow c- on guide rail.

• Install tension bow ⇒ 1.18 Removing and installing tension bow.
• Tighten bolts -5-. Specified torque: 2.5 Nm.
• Fit handle -4- and tighten screws -3-. Specified torque: 1 Nm.
