Removing and installing guide plate

Removing

• Remove moulded headliner ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr. 70; Roof trims; Removing and installing moulded headliner.
• Remove glass panel ⇒ 1.7 Removing and installing glass panel.
• Mark the position -4- of the guide rails -1- on assembly frame -3-.
• Unscrew bolts -2-.

• Low guide rails -1- at rear -arrow a-.
• Pull guide rails -1- off assembly carrier -2-, keeping them parallel with each other -arrow b-.

Installing

• Push guide rails -1- into assembly carrier -2-, keeping them parallel to each other.
• Fit guide rails -1- on assembly frame at rear.

• Fit all bolts -2, 3 and 4- and tighten them slightly.
• Align guide rails -1- in accordance with the marking made previously -6-.
• Tighten bolts firmly.

• Specified torque for bolts -2-: 2 Nm.
• Specified torque for bolts -3-: 3 Nm.
• Specified torque for bolts -4-: 3.5 Nm.

• Further installation is carried out in reverse order of removal.
