Removing and installing door

Special tools and workshop equipment required

• Key (for door alignment) - 3320-
• Universal joint for 3320 - 3320/1-
• Bit for 3320 - 3320/2-
• Bit for 3320 - 3320/3-
• Roller - 3356-
• Torque wrench - V.A.G 1331-
• Setting gauge - 3371-
• Socket XZN 10 - 3410-
• Removal wedge - 3409-

Removing

• Release bellows -2- by pressing catch -arrow a- and pull off B- pillar.
• Swing release lever -3- downwards -arrow b- and disconnect electrical connector -4- from coupling station.
• Loosen bolts -7- at hinges -arrow d-.
• Unscrew bolt -5- for door retaining strap -6-.
• Lift door -1- upwards -arrow e- out of hinges -8-.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence of removal.

• Specified torque for bolts -7-: 23 Nm.
• Specified torque for bolts -5-: 30 Nm.
• Observe front door gaps ⇒ Body Repairs; Rep. gr. 00; Technical data; Body panel gaps/shut lines; Body - front.
