Removing and installing inner door seal

During production, a sealant is applied to the inner door seals, which are then placed on the door flange and rolled on.

Removing

• To remove door inner seal, loosen pillar trims as required without removing them completely ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr. 70; Trims, interior; Overview of fitting locations – trims, interior.
• Loosen sill panel moulding (do not remove it completely) ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr. 70; Trims, interior; Removing and installing sill panel moulding.
• Pull inner door seal -1- off body flange.

Installing

• Align inner door seal -1- so that vulcanised point -arrow b- is at same height as upper hinge -arrow b-.
• Start installing inner door seal at top radius of door aperture -arrow a-.
