Removing and installing door handle bracket
Removing
- Remove front door trim ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr. 70; Front door trims; Removing and installing front door trim.
2-door vehicles
- In the case of vehicles with 2-doors, remove cover ⇒ 2.6.1 Removing and installing inner door cover, 2-door model.
4-door vehicles
- In the case of vehicles with 4-doors, remove cover ⇒ 2.6.2 Removing and installing inner door cover, 4-door model.
All vehicles
- Remove lock cylinder ⇒ 2.9 Removing and installing lock cylinder or cover cap ⇒ 2.10 Removing and installing cap without lock cylinder.
- Remove door handle ⇒ 2.11 Removing and installing door handle.
- Unscrew bolt -4- and remove seal -3-.
- Remove mounting bracket -1- from door -arrow a-.
Release Bowden cable
- Release holding device -5- and swivel it out of mounting in mounting bracket -arrow b-.
- Remove cable bolt from mounting -arrow c-.
- Remove cable from mounting bracket -arrow d-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence of removal.
- Tighten bolt -2-, specified torque: 1.5 Nm.
