Cylinder block, gearbox end – assembly overview and fastening
- 1 Securing bolt

- Renew
- Contact surface for securing bolt must be free of oil and grease.
- Oil threads before inserting.
- Secure belt pulley against turning with counterhold - 3415-.
- The turning further angle can be measured with a commercial protractor.
- 2 Belt pulley
- With diamond coated washer
- Contact surfaces must be free of oil and grease.
- Secure against turning with counterhold - 3415- when removing and installing
- Remove poly V-belt (Tiguan).
- Remove poly V-belt (Golf Plus, Eos, Scirocco, Golf, Touran, Polo, Sharan, Passat, Passat CC, Golf Cabriolet) ⇒ 1.3 Removing and installing poly V-belt (Golf Plus, Eos, Scirocco, Golf, Touran, Polo, Sharan, Passat, Passat CC, Golf Cabriolet)

- 4 Bearing bush
- Contact surfaces must be free of oil and grease.
- 5 O-ring

- 6 Cylinder block

- 7 60 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further
- Renew
- 8 Flywheel/drive plate
- When removing and installing flywheel, lock with counterhold - T10044-.
- 9 Adapter
- Must seat on dowel sleeves.
- Do not damage when assembling.
- 10 12 Nm
- Renew
- 11 Sealing flange with sender wheel and oil seal
- Removing and installing engine speed sender - G28- (not shown) ⇒ 1.3 Removing and installing engine speed sender - G28-.
- Specified torque for engine speed sender - G28- : 5 Nm.
- Renew sealing flange complete with oil seal and sender wheel only.
- Renewing crankshaft sealing flange - flywheel end ⇒ 2.2 Removing and installing sealing flange on gearbox side.
