Poly V-belt drive – assembly overview and fastening
- 1 40 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further
- To loosen and tighten securing bolt, counterhold supercharger shaft with 16 mm spanner.
- Renew
- 2 Belt pulley
- For supercharger
- 3 23 Nm
- 4 Tensioning element
- For supercharger poly V-belt
- Relieve tension using 16 mm spanner.
- Lock with locking pin - T10060 A-.
- 5 8 Nm
- 6 Coolant pump with magnetic clutch for supercharger - N421-

- Removing and installing coolant pump belt pulley (Sharan)

- 8 Tensioning element
- For poly V-belt.
- Release tension using open-end spanner 16 mm - T10447-
- Lock with locking pin - T10060 A-.
- 9 23 Nm
- 10 Alternator
- 11 Belt pulley
- For crankshaft
- With diamond coated washer
- Observe note on diamond coated washers ⇒ 1.6 Renewing crankshaft oil seal - pulley end.
- Contact surfaces must be free of oil and grease.
- 12 Securing bolt

- Renew
- Contact surface for securing bolt must be free of oil and grease.
- Oil threads before inserting.
- Secure belt pulley against turning with counterhold - 3415-.
- Turning further can be done in several stages.
- The turning further angle can be measured with a commercial protractor.
- 13 40 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) further
- Removing and installing with vehicle raised
- Renew
- 14 Air conditioner compressor
- 15 23 Nm
- 16 Tensioning element
- For poly V-belt.
- Relieve tension with spanner.
- Lock with 4 mm Allen key.
- 17 Poly V-belt
- Mark direction of rotation before removing.
- 18 Poly V-belt
- For supercharger
- Mark direction of rotation before removing.
