Poly V-belt drive (vehicles with tensioning element and air conditioner compressor) – assembly overview and fastening

1 Poly V-belt
- Mark direction of rotation before removing
- Check for wear
- Do not kink
- Removing and installing ⇒ 1.5 Removing and installing poly V-belt (vehicles with idler roller)
2 Poly V-belt tensioning element
- Swing with open-end spanner to slacken poly V-belt ⇒ 1.5 Removing and installing poly V-belt (vehicles with idler roller)
3 Belt pulley and vibration damper
- Offset holes make assembly possible in one position only
4 25 Nm
5 Dowel sleeves
- Check for correct seating in ancillary bracket.
6 Ancillary bracket
- Removing and installing ⇒ 1.8 Removing and installing vibration damper.
7 20 Nm + 90° further
8 Alternator
- Removing and installing ⇒ Rep. gr. 27
9 Air conditioner compressor
- Removing and installing ⇒ Rep. gr. 87
10 Dowel sleeves
- Check for correct seating in ancillary bracket.
