Releasing and securing C-pillar trim

Special tools and workshop equipment required

6C 2014–2017

• 6C 2014–2017 Torque wrench - V.A.G 1783-

• Remove bench seat ⇒ 2.1 Removing and installing bench seat / individual seats.
• Remove backrest ⇒ 2.2 Removing and installing rear seat backrest.
• Release sill panel moulding from fasteners in sill at transition to side panel.
• Remove side trim panel ⇒ 5.7 Removing and installing side trim panel.
• Remove roof end strip ⇒ 7.1 Removing and installing roof end strip.

• Unscrew 2 bolts -1- and -2- (1.5 Nm) for luggage compartment cover which are located behind C-pillar trim.
• Unclip side of luggage compartment cover in upper area.
• Unclip C-pillar trim -1- in lower, rear area -arrow-.
• Unclip C-pillar trim in lower, front area.
• Unclip C-pillar trim in upper area.

Secure in reverse order of releasing.

• Ensure that trim is positioned in beading of rear lid seal.
