High-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) designed for 2.0 TSI gasoline engines with direct fuel injection (FSI/TSI) used in vehicles from the Volkswagen Group (VW, Audi, SEAT, Škoda).

This pump is mounted directly on the engine cylinder head and is mechanically driven by the camshaft. Its function is to increase the fuel pressure supplied by the low-pressure pump (located in the fuel tank) to the level required by the high-pressure injection system, which enables precise injection and efficient combustion of the air-fuel mixture.
