  • If seal is leaking, nip open and renew.

• 5 To air filter
  • Not on engine code CGGB.
• 6 10 Nm
• 7 Cap
  • Renew seal if damaged.
• 8 Oil dipstick
  • The oil level must not be above the max. mark!
• 9 Dipstick guide
  • Pull out to extract oil.
• 10 Guide tube
• 11 Main drive toothed belt
  • Mark direction of rotation before removing
  • Check for wear
  • Do not kink

  • Loosen on hexagon.
  • Tighten by hand.
  • Observe fitting instructions on oil filter

• 24 Sealing ring
  • Renew
• 25 Oil pan
  • Removing and installing ⇒ 1.3 Removing and installing oil sump
  • Clean sealing surface before fitting.
  • Install with silicone sealant D 176 404 A2 ⇒ 1.3 Removing and installing oil sump
• 26 Oil drain plug, 30 Nm
  • With captive seal
  • Renew
• 27 Securing bolts
  • Aluminium sump: 13 Nm
  • Loosen and tighten flywheel end bolts only with Allen key, long reach 5 mm -T10058-.
• 28 45 Nm
• 29 Follower
  • Coat with oil before installing oil pump.
• 30 Sealing ring
  • Renew
• 31 Oil separator
  • With heated vacuum valve.
• 32 O-ring
  • Renew if damaged
• 33 To intake manifold

• 1 Max. mark
• 2 Min. mark

a - Area above hatched field up to max. mark: Do not top up with engine oil!

b - Oil level within hatched field: can be topped-up with engine oil.

c - Area from min. mark up to hatched field: top up, max. 0.5 l of engine oil!
