Removing and installing coolant circulation pump - V50- (Polo, Touran, Golf Plus, Eos, Tiguan, Scirocco, Golf, Golf Cabriolet)

Special tools and workshop equipment required

  • Refractometer - T10007 A-
  • Hose clamp pliers - VAS 6340-
  • Torque wrench - V.A.G 1331-
  • Hose clamps to 40 mm - 3093-

Removing

Golf Plus, Eos, Scirocco, Golf, Golf Cabriolet, Touran, Polo

  • Remove noise insulation ⇒ General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr. 50; Body - front, noise insulation.

Tiguan

  • Depending on vehicle equipment, remove noise insulation or skid plate ⇒ General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr. 50; Removing and installing noise insulation or skid plate.

Continued for all vehicles

  • Seal coolant hoses with hose clamps up to 40 mm - 3093-.
  • Remove spring-type clips -arrows- and pull coolant hoses off.
  • Pull connector -1- off and remove securing bolt -2-.
  • Remove coolant circulation pump - V50- -3-.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing, note the following:

Specified torque for securing bolt: 10 Nm.
