Removing and installing locking mechanism for rear seat backrest

6C 2014–2017 Special tools and workshop equipment required

• Torque wrench - V.A.G 1783-

Removing

• Remove backrest ⇒ 2.2 Removing and installing rear seat backrest.
• Removing backrest cover and padding ⇒ 2.2 Removing and installing rear seat backrest cover and padding.
• Remove bolt -1- (2 Nm).
• Open detent tab -3-.
• Remove backrest release mechanism -2- from backrest.

Installing

• Install in reverse order of removal.
