Original mounting strip 6R0853543, designed for installing the decorative side sill trim on the VW Polo 6R R‑Line, BlueMotion and BlueGT.
The part is a factory component of the sill‑mounting system and ensures precise, stable positioning of the decorative trim along the lower edge of the body.
It was originally installed using WHT000188 screws, but during retrofitting it is safer and more advisable to use windscreen adhesive instead of drilling into the sills.
