You have certainly felt an electric shock when you have touched something metallic. This is due to the electrostatic charge of the human body. This charge can cause malfunctions if you touch the electric steering rack components.
- Before working on electrical components, touch an earthed object, such as a water pipe or a lifting platform. Never touch the contacts of a connector directly.
